mum of one (and soon to be two!), certified sleep coach, and passionate advocate for peaceful nights.
When I became a mum for the first time, my biggest fear was sleep deprivation. I knew how important rest was—not just for my baby, but for me, my partner, and our entire family dynamic. That’s why I focused on sleep training my daughter early on. Thanks to that, she’s been sleeping 12 hours a night from the start, which made her a happy, well-rested little one. It also gave me and my partner precious time to recharge at the end of long, tiring days, helped me keep up with my fitness routine, thrive in my full-time job, and still have an identity outside of motherhood.
At the time, I thought I had successfully sleep trained her. But it wasn’t until I discovered Kim West’s program and began training as a certified sleep coach that I realized what I’d actually done was teach my baby healthy sleep habits—not through traditional "extinction" methods, but through gentle, consistent routines.
Learning about the harsh cry-it-out methods was eye-opening—and honestly, shocking. I couldn’t believe that some approaches involve letting babies cry until they give up. That’s why I was so relieved to learn that Kim’s method is all about connection, presence, and trust. Her philosophy showed me that sleep training doesn't have to be traumatic—it can be a loving process that supports the whole family.
Now, I’m here to support other parents who are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. If you're struggling with sleepless nights, know that things can change—and they can change gently. You don’t have to do it alone.
